What is Q.U.A.D.?
Quincy Urban Arts District (Q.U.A.D.) is a community initiative aimed to enhance culture, sustainability, and enrichment through engaging programs and events that celebrate creativity and innovation as well as support local businesses. Q.U.A.D. exists to facilitate connectivity, collaboration and cultural authenticity among artists, innovators, local business owners and community members.
Shine The Light
Twice a month, we take a deep dive into the careers and minds of local innovators, artists and thought leaders that were born or grew up in the Quincy area in a series we’re calling “Shine the Light.” All of these people – both past and present – have made an impact on this community in one way or another and our goal is to spread the word.
We spoke with Melissa Mengel, owner of Salt and Branch. Salt and Branch is a small home decor business, with a mission to support small businesses around the U.S.
Holly Nichols is a talented Fashion Illustrator from Quincy. Holly has worked with some top name brands like Treseme and Saks Fifth Avenue, and has recently published her own book – Modern Fashion Illustration.
